Diane Martins, PhD, RN, FAAN

Chair

Diane is a standing member of the Board for 6 years. She has spent most of her time

in collaboration with previous Board members on prevention work and our

annual cancer summit.

Susan DeSanto-Madeya, Ph.D, RN, FAAN

Co-Chair

Susan joined the Board of the Partnership in 2020.  She is passionate about and committed to optimizing the quality of life for persons, families, and communities through inclusive and equitable cancer care throughout the health-illness continuum. Susan is excited to work with the Partnership and their community partners to promote knowledge of and the early integration of Palliative Care for all persons and families living with cancer.

Arthur Everly, CLU, ChFC

Treasurer

Art was invited to the Board to provide financial services expertise to the Partnership. He sits on the Finance Committee, guiding the Partnership through financial development.

Secretary

Pat was invited to the Board by Diane Martins. She has worked previously with the Partnership on a HPV work group, assisted with the 2019 Cancer Summit, and enjoys working as a team.

Surgical Oncologist, Roger Williams Medical Center

Dr. Calvino wishes to bring a clinical perspective to the efforts of the Partnership to improve cancer care in RI.

Reiki Master Teacher, Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island

Arthur is an existing Board member who wishes to promote a fresh, needed energy to the Partnership and fulfill the need he has seen while working at Women & Infants Hospice.

Director of Spiritual Care, Roger Williams Medical Center

Jim has been involved with the Partnership since it was founded 14 years ago, and has been on the Board for 8 years. He cares strongly about survivorship and helping those who are living with cancer.

Jeremy joined the Board of Directors in 2021 and provides a fresh, new perspective to help the Partnership grow.

Joe serves on the Board of Directors because he is inspired by the organization's mission, vision, values, and the impact that it is having in our state.  He finds it truly an honor to serve with such a passionate and dedicated group of health care professionals, caregivers, and survivors.

Senior Manager, Cancer Control Strategic Partnerships, American Cancer Society

Lynn is excited to work with the Partnership and its many partners to increase access to cancer education, prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship services to improve the quality of life all Rhode Islanders.

Mirna Sangiovanni

Multiple Myeloma Survivor, Multiple Myeloma Support Group Leader

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Mirna Sangiovanni is a Multiple Myeloma Support Group Leader with the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), volunteers as a first connection to Myeloma patients through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and is a member of the Board at the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island.
