Activity Description

The Rhode Island Lung Cancer Screening Roundtable is a live, interprofessional virtual educational activity designed to improve knowledge and clinical practice related to lung cancer screening and tobacco cessation. This 90-minute session brings together primary care providers, specialists, public health professionals, and healthcare stakeholders to explore barriers to screening, effective documentation practices, and strategies to improve access and follow-up care. Through a moderated panel discussion featuring clinical experts and community health advocates, participants will learn to apply evidence-based workflows, utilize 2022 Lung-RADS coding for CT reporting, and implement smoking history documentation as part of the lung cancer screening process. This activity also addresses interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative solutions to provider shortages, such as leveraging electronic health records and care navigation.
